Mormon dating advice?!?!?! please!!?

ok... to make it short and swweeeet. i really reallly rrrrreeeallly like this guy. im 16 and mormon and i always tried to keep the standards the prophet has provided for us... the guy i like is 15 and catholic....but hes super cool and really fun to hang out with. i want him to come to church with me. he likes me, but i dont no if its wrong to date someone non-mormon according to the standards.... also, hes not 16, but hes non-mormon so does it apply to him?? i mean, hes been in a relationship before.... ugh idk.... if i shouldnt, how should i tell him???? please help!! thanks yo!!! :PMormon dating advice?!?!?! please!!?
well, since he's 15 no. but if he wasn't yeah you could totally date no problem.

it's okay to date non members as long as you understand that u do have diffrent standards and therefore have to be more carefull in certain situations. Personaly I wouldnt date a non-16 yr old unless he was very close to 16 (a few weeks...a month tops). but i think thats a personal choice. I would invite him to a youth dance just as friends or a mutual combined night like bowling or sports. Its easier if hes friends with other mormon guys... :)

There is *nothing* wrong with bringing each other to each others church.


There is nothing wrong with what you are doing, just don't get too serious with a non-member. You should try to be sealed in the temple and obviously you cant with a non-member.





I am a LDS convert. If I didn't join, I wouldn't have been engaged to be sealed with my girlfriend :)
Don't take him to your church, he's catholic and your mormon. Go out with him just dont take him to your church, what are you trying to do? convert him??/
You can date him if you want you, go ahead.

So long as he will not compromise your standards there is no reason that I can see that you couldn't go on a GROUP date. Remember no single or steady dating until you are 18.





Sorry to seem cruel but you should try to keep your feelings for him under control. You will have a hard time being truly happy if you end up marrying him and you don't have the same religious goals.





Pray to Father in Heaven for help to bring him into the church if it is His will, and to help you keep your commitment to marry in the temple and remain clean until then.
