I was raised in Southeast Asia and came here only 3 yrs ago (I'm 24). I recently went on a few dates with this guy who's been an acquaintance since I first came to the US, and we've connected really well so far. But he's Chinese American, and I don't think he's dated anybody who's not from the US before. I can sense some concern in him, whether it can work out or not. The previous guy I dated was from Canada, so the whole intercultural thing is not new to me. Any tips on how I can help him adjust to the idea? (in a subtle way would be preferred). Act as American as you can I guess =3 Go to American styled restaurants and make them know you are just born somewhere else but three years in America and you ARE American.
