Dating advice? Need help after 8 years..?

At 32, I find myself single after 8 years. I met someone that I am INTERESTED in. He is 8 years younger. I don't know the rules of dating and need some advice. Do I chase? Do I let him chase? He seems interested as well, but I am not sure. It's like he makes suggestions, like going for drinks, then doesn't follow through. Or I invite him to hang out with friends, he says yes, but then doesn't follow through again. Should I just accept that ';he's just not that into me';? Although people who see us interact say that he seems infatuated.Dating advice? Need help after 8 years..?
Sadly all men are like children. They want what they can't have and they want what they want when they want it and no other time. He may be making suggestions and not following through because he is just as confused. Next time he makes a suggestion such as to do something or go somewhere that normally you would turn down DON'TT! Life is about taking risks and by you saying yes and following through it shows him that you are interested and think its worth the risk.Dating advice? Need help after 8 years..?
He may have other obligations, i.e. a gf or wife at home. If he is not following through, I would suggest that you forget about it. Quit making the effort. You need to be direct with him. He is not a child and neither are you. Next time he suggest something, ask him if he is being sincere, or is he going to be a ';no show'; like every other time. That will give him an opening to explain. If he doesn't explain, or give you a lame explanation, he is just a jerk. Then you will know for sure. If he were young, some irresponsibility would be normal. Over 30, he should be more responsible and accountable. If he isn't, he is not worth your time.
Give him some time. He seems really nervous. Once bitten, twice shy maybe?

If you and he both make suggestions, and HE (KEY WORD IS HE) doesn't follow through then that should be a clear sign... Don't get discourged though, don't you remember how fun dating can/is (BLARGH)
