Need dating advice PLEASE.?

I'm single now for 8 months after 23 years of marriage. Well, I ran into my old junior high and high school sweet heart. I never really forgot him. He was my first love. Well, We've been hanging out and there is a spark there, but there are a few things that's eating on me. 1. He's Hispanic and his culture is really different from mine (I'm white). For example- The other day I seen him cruzing in his truck with about 8 people pilled up in his truck.... 2. I'm a real animal lover and last night he tells me this story about how, one time him and his cousin put his dog on a leash, tied him to the bed of his truck. Anyway, unknowingly to them, the dog jumped out of the truck and they accidentally drug the dog for a couple of miles. The dog survived, but was badly hurt. Anyway, he thought it was funny! That really bugged me that he found it so funny. Am I being weird, or picky? Please let me know. Thank you!Need dating advice PLEASE.?

It sounds to me like he isnt the right one for you. Just from the dog story that you wrote about. I would never want to be with someone who is that unattentive to an animal in the bed of thier truck. Thats cruel. Although it was an accident, he laughed. And its important to you. Could that get in the way? And when it comes down to the whole race issue, people are different. You cant escape from that. Ever. Unfortunatly, if things are different you learn to adapt. If there is a spark then you should follow your heart. But be careful, because you might be vulnerable because you just got out a long marriage.
